Help needed:Leone wagon 4wd diode near battery

does anyone know about the little black diode plugin and taped to wiring harness near the battery??:confused: what does it do??
i pulled it out and pluged a small fan into it and now the car is not running smoothly anymore, any ideas, any help will be great as i have no idea what i might have screwed,:???:

Are you sure its a diode?

another L Series fiddler is baffled here, foto of the item in question, is first priority, where it belong is secondary, at this stage
