'84 Power Steering into '82 (Both wagons)
Hi all. As the title says, I want to know a little about power steering.
I've just got my paws on a 1984 Touring Wagon with power steering, and want to know if it would be worth my while to put the power steering into my 1982 model wagon, or even if it CAN be done? The steering's light enough now without power steering, but I s'pose it would be interesting to know. Both motors are EA81,
TIA, and cheers. Mick.

If you find your steering heavy enough to want power steering it is well worth the effort of putting it in. It should all bolt straight in, just make sure the driver's side head has the same mounting holes as the touring wagon's so it will mount properly.
I put powersteering into my fiance's mum's brumby and she hasn't looked back since! It made the brumby feel like a sports car, you can really throw it around now if you want to.
Cheers
Bennie

My son & his mate converted a L series wagon to power steering when they were 17 so it should be easy enough.

Just remember to change the Thermostat housing as well as they are different.
