My response would have to be.. Why?? Most power/torque is lost after 6,000rpm

Agreed, these EA82's rev much like an old Falcon six, their torque is low down, horses not much further up and no need to spin much faster you start to get oil aeration etc giving lifters hiccups etc. Hit 6500 a few times without meaning/trying with an EA82T with the big hole under turbo, so quick so short a duration did not hear bad stuff but no go up there.
