Kit is an old AMT one - they are the only one ever made. Had to bid for it on ebay and it cost me a fortune - $25 !! I do know where another is available but he wants over $100 for it.riksta wrote:very nice work mate, I like it and I like the way your thinking.
Can you tell us who makes this model kit as I would like to put one in my collection.
keep up the great work your doing, looks unreal.

Just a quick update on this.
The model is finished but I don't have internet at home so can't upload any photos. Will hopefully rectify this in the next few weeks.
I have picked up a REAL Brumby for nothing (well I swapped it for an old motorbike jacket and a couple of helmets - maybe $250 worth). It has a little bit of rust but basically only where I would be modifying it anyway. So the idea wioth this will be to make it twin engined but probably just a couple of EJ22's or 25's. Will run FWD Auto boxes and it will be just a fun car to do silly burnouts in - maybe even front wheels in reverse and rear wheels in forward
Stay Tuned !!

No one is complaining the Brumby is the UGLY series, it looks good to see any Brumby in plastic and this one looks better every shot. On the big money jobs, been talking to a coupla guys that live in eastern Oz, fly to WA for work driving huge rotary hoe style machines on the top side so not down holes or out at sea (rather safe unless you fall in a hole!) straight 14 days at 12 hours, switching from midday to midnight from midnight to midday in the middle somewhere. Flown to and from home work when off, flying travel time counts as work time $140k a year . Shees, imagine the income tax on that !!

OK I have got my 2nd Brumby home - this one is destined for the twin engine build. Its a bit rough and rusty but most of the rust is where I will be modify the car anyway so its no problem, and I have a few spare panels that I got from WRXER when I bought his Brumby.
Thinking of flaring the existing guards to clear the AWD drivetrain - like the AUDI RS6 flares, or may do the GDB front guards like the model I built - will have to see which is best (cheapest) when I get that far.

Interior is in pretty bloody good nick though. There is no cracking on the dash or anything - and this has been sitting in a field for the last 5 yrs :

And the best bit is the cost - I swapped it for a 10yrd old motorbike jacket and helmet taht I haven't used for 5 yrs
