Hi Paul,

I have been following this consignment and delivery has been attempted several times I believe but receiver hasn’t been there. I believe they have been in contact with him to arrange a time as they don’t want to keep going there if no one to receive.

Maybe you could contact Howard and find out if this is the case?

Please advise if there is anything I can do to help.

I better reply to him :)

MMMmmmm I suspect that the UK 'local' delivery end is possibly at fault here in that the vans they run could well have struggled to climb up the hill to H's place ! They would then mark it down as 'not in' to cover their arses!
H has been getting into his place all through the snow (he has a Toyota amazon and a forester) so no worries about the snow for him. But I can understand worries about getting stuck by the Delivery drivers !
Anyhow's it's there now in good condition so mission delivery accomplished

As for the cricket.. I'll let you get some gloating in.. it's been a LONG time for you to be able to :p

4 gloats = Minus 4 on my count on MY wagon mud spats

And too late on the Cheesecake recipe.. I just had the baker out on the rig give me his secret recipe. He owed me BIG time for fixing his *cough* Ford one day.

But if you behave? I'll have a look when I get home.. MY wagons are just about all gone :(

A matching set of spats looks good on the front too. Subaruby has them front and rear on his wagon.

Are these the same (spats) as the rear ones ( but fitted on the front) or are these front ones sourced from something else ? Any pictures available?

Yes just a set of rear spats fitted to the front. There are a few pics in some of our trip reports which will give you an idea. They look especially good with the extra offset of the speedy desert rat style wheels.

Giles I can have a look at the wreckers down my way as there are 2 touring wagons that are near complete stacked one on top of the other

and people spats are on gangster or golf shoes, on cars they are called mud flaps :)

Nice one Jules.....go for it ! Liase with Paul as well eh? - You know you want to !:D

Spats / mudflaps / extensions / flares - not really sure what they should be called

Generally here the mud flaps are those right at the bottom a la AWD moulded on them.

Ok which bit do you want the plastic trim / surround that runs around the outside of the guard (rust maker) and meets up with the with the mud flap or the mudflap itself

and it depends on what price Dan at Bunbury wreckers wants for the bits and pieces. some days he is good with prices other days Fridays especially he wants beer money for the weekend :)

Really just need the plastic trim / surround that runs around the out side , but if the flaps themselves are anything like ok then those too for spare (got a pair with the Brumby front cut that are the pukka brumby fronts UK cars never had those type here) so spares would be good. Mine have subaru moulded on to them. Had to take care pulling them off due to rusted fixings ;)
Suggest that you try him on Monday - when his 'bears head' has subsided back to normal !

The reason why I first got a MVBRUMBYBRAT !

Post by 1111giles » Thu Dec 16, 2010 5:29 am

Ok Scooby folks this is nowt to do with the power steering about to be fitted to scoob, but it does involve the truck. The thing you see in the back is the reason why I first got into MVBRUMBYBRATS - to transport my trials bikes about to competitions and practice.
Me and Scoob went to collect my new Trials Iron at tea time today.
Here it is - in the pitch black in the Rishworth moors at 'Pennine trialsport' trials dealships car park. The bike for those interested is a MY2011 - BETA EVO 250cc 4T (which is a four stroke).
FYI - The faint lights in the distance are the M62 trans-pennine motorway if you could see its actually the part of the motorway where the carrageways split eitherside of the now famous farm (known as the 'little house on the prairie'). Its the highest motorway in England at 1260 ft above sea level. The dealership sits ontop of a hill which is itself about that altitude - BBBRRRR that makes it Blinking cold up there too.:D

Forget the bike - your brumby looks shit hot against that bike! Which gets more looks at comps?

Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Actually the scoob has had the most comments overall - Is it new ? - being a common one:D
Probably the new bike will take over at the top of 'comment hill' for a few weeks with - can I have a go on it ? Likely to be asked quite a lot!
