97 forester, electric problems

Post by shuffbag » Thu Dec 09, 2010 5:07 pm

my forester which is now my wifes is doing some very strange things.

sometimes on start up the rear demister is on and cant be turned off  as well as that sometimes when trying to turn it off (or actually turn the demister on) the rear wiper goes. can anyone point me in a direction?

i did replace a fuse for the demister a while ago, i might check that its still good and correct amp.

sounds very much like a short in the wiring that is in the tailgate, I would check where the loom comes out of the car and goes into the tailgate, then check the wiring at the rear demister and wiper
