Yes Rik, that's fine, I'll get those photos of the picnic tables etc 2morrow if I can, and give you a bit of a write about it if you like, I also have some photos on my phone from my son who was standing opposite the coffee club when it happened if I can get them off my phone. . I did traffic control again in the main area of Toowoomba today. Plenty of rubberneckers but that's how it goes. Its a one off event and they all want to see it. Can't blame them for that. There is no milk in Toowoomba as of today but supplies may be coming up from the south. I heard the Brisbane to Toowoomba highway will be open soon but daylight travel only and with load restrictions. There has been unnecessary panic buying of fuel in town but authorities have said that fuel should not run out. East to west travel across Toowoomba is mainly restricted to Margaret Street, Herries and Ruthven and major roads in the city's south. Crossings north (which is downstream of the city) are all out.
Most of the clean up in the city is near completed and has been (apart from the shops), things like destroyed fencing, footbridges, erosion and lifted footpath tiling and pavers. The bridge across the creek downstream on Jellicoe street has been totally destroyed.

I was helping my brother in law clean his shop at Goodna the water went to the roof
Every thing is gone the smell is so bad. I was sweeping out the mud onto the car park it's on a down hill but it didn't go down it was to thick you could just about watch it going hard in the sun.
We had it cleaned up when i took the video. It was amazing how many strangers helped, there where two small kids that came with there dad to help they didn't stop sweeping the mud out they where there for hours with out complaining
I would like to thank all the people that helped:D

It must be really hard to know just where to start !
Guess you just got to get your heads down and get on. You will get there.
Really feel for all those affected.

No, but its really the last thing he should have to be dealing with. Hope all's well with him, his family and the subi boy crew in Gympie.olddog642 wrote:Has anybody heard how Chubby is doing
Not meaning to move the spot light from qld but has anyone seen the floods in the western side of Vic? I've seen pics of sheets of high ways lifted and move sideways 30 metres in one piece, I've heard that Avoca has lost their main bridge over the river and many towns are flooded on that side while down in East Gipsland we're pretty dry (and low lying)...
All the best with the clean up, wish there was something we could do to help down here other than donate money. Feeling helpless for those who need it!
