Next trip... Where?? MAY 21st
It's looking like Lancelin has the votes.... and Jaffa had some great ideas about extending the trip to surrounded areas to keep the day interesting. Hopefully he wouldn't mind sharing them in here.
Also there has been some suggestions of pushing the date back to the weekend after due to mothers day. Also several regulars are unable to go on the suggested date due to stuff on the night before... party animals.
What do u guys think??

The date change should not effect us to much however i will need to confirm with the boss though... that being said gives others more time to vote - HINT HINT

Oh and i still have some of our WA stickers so those that wanted em and have not pick em up (and payed for em) you had beeter let me know as there are a few other interested parites - if you forget who you are i can PM ya... to those that were interesteed i still have your PM's and who got in first - if its easier i will attempt to post list on board (maybe a new thread - again).
are we all aware that mothers day is the sunday 14th of may, not the 1st sunday in may... i saw an advert for it in a jewellers 2nite... nearly kicked my self...
so this puts forward the following possibilties:
trip 2 lancelin on the 7th, myself and johno will not be able to attend
14th - mothers day
21st may - i see this date as the best the one. It gives us all a chance to fix any niggly bits on our cars, gives myself and andrew more of a chance 2 get out cars running by then, and is far enough in advance to pencil into the diary
So how does pushing it back a bit sound?

ok... due to the date mix up.. Jaffa and i are most probably still going to head out on the first weekend of May.
Who is interested in this date.... and who is interested in the 21st only?
Personally i can do both.

OK my 2c
We can/will still go on the 7th MAy as planed however i thought that the whole idea of this 1st wkd of every month thing was so that we all knew where we stood for some grp 4WD. If we go again on the 21st are we then going to met again (a frotnight later) on the 4th of June?
In addition to this if we do the Lancelin thing on the 7th (as you all voted for) then what are we doing on the 21st? Lancelin again?
(I think that we know the area, Lancelin, well enough by now that there is no recon required for this trip).
Hmmm, more questions then answers...Thoughts/Ideas?
Subarino might just give you a call if we are the only 2 scheduled to bash this wkd... does this include ya boss? i have an idea brewing

Hey crew,
Sorry I have been quite lately just FLAT OUT with stuff atm.
From the poll it looks like Lancelin. We are expecting to do the Lancilin run wif ya all (grumble grumble) and we are willing to discuss on the morning of the trip several trip options (eg offroad just after Yanchep and return on road just before Guilderton OR off road at Guilderton and on road at Seabird) drive on road into Lancelin and then bust Lancelin up… The reason for the flexibility is that Diane and I know the area fairly well being so close to home we have been up here a few times already (My initial thought depending on grp size and vehicle specs would be to do the offroad just after Yanchep and return on road just before Guilderton – however we will talk).
THEN should time and interest permit after Lancelin destruction we can off road home again, only this time on the LHS in the Moore River Yanchep NP area on the way home (as this will take longer and there will be the potential to explore/get lost).
From what I can recall there have been no discussions about specific trip info. I will look to Subarino (who will not doubt give it back to myself) and we well get the start times/meeting place info up here – I would be surprised though if it does not somehow match the time/meet point for past trips North though.
Keep an eye out for updates.

There should be no issues for stock Subaru's on this trip - the section between Yanchep and Guilderton (which is probally the section we will do) is not hard... this is no offence to Subg but he has done this trip with us in a EA81 with with no issues.
As for the road tyers they are the best things to have in the sand (well actually racing slicks would rate pretty highly - less digging factor) if you having issues then we'll just deflate ya tyers however we will not want to stuff around that much until we get to Lancelin, hence the Yanchep to Guilderton being the suggested run, as no deflation will be required.

Great... it's good to see that this date might work for more than one person. I suggest on a 9am meet at the north location (usual place) ... not sure on the exact address but there was a Macdonalds there so we can get breaky. Someone else can fill that detail in. Leaving there at, i guess 9:30 giving us a chance to catch up etc etc.
I also would like to highly recomend a few things... bring a CB UHF radio... either a hand held or a in car unit. We will communicate with these. These are available VERY cheep from places like Super Cheap.
Bring food and water... there is no fast food drive throughs in the dunes of Lancelin... unless we arrange to pop back to the lancelin backery for lunch.
and lastly.... fill your tank with fuel. also there is no service stations in the dunes.
Jaffa i think i recall your in-car CB was playing up and i think u need a new microphone... let me know if u want me to arrange one for u. I think you have a tx4000 cb from memory... correct me if im wrong.
If any others are intending on comming then drop a message in here so we have an idea on numbers.

I think that if I recall someone
(NO name mentioned) was going to make it a b’day present or something :P I do not recall the actual unit and will have to look into it for you over the wkd and advise next week, however I have no idea last trip out Subg could hear us just fine all day and since then its been months since we have needed it – as we have been 4WDing by ourselves
I will get meeting place info up here next week unless 1 of you post over the wkd. I agree with Subarino though... meet/talk crap from 09:00 with a departure time of 09:30. REMEMBER you all know (and if you newbies didn’t know then you know now) that I will not be in the car park after 09:30 despite Subarino’s pleas to wait just 5 more minutes – I am not joking!
More detail and final confirmation of number for this trip next week any issues send me (or Subarino) a PM or give us a buzz on the mobile .
