You can also do a search for raptor superchargers - off the shelf bolt on DIY kits from memory.

yeah i was looking at raptor sc but very expensive, was even considering talking to a few engineer mates about how to make a gear box to speed up the spool on a normal turbo which is pretty much what raptor sc uses. dont know if it would be cheaper in the end which is why i was interested in the sc you've using

I'm not running one, but have been talking to Subarino about his setup as I have considered the same - but have other things to attend to first.

Pipe dreams.

would this sc be compatible with an ej20??

shouldn't make that much difference should it?

Dunno mate - I'm not an expert on this, nor have I done the work either!

Best to contact Subarino after reading his original post about the install.

I do know that you can change the pulley on the SC to change the boost pressure level, its just a matter of trial and error!

Yes it would work but it would be a matter of sizing the pulleys to achieve your desired result.

Using the same ratio as Hatchie has would result on higher boost on an EJ20, I remember doing the figures with Dave when he was first trying to fit this to hatchie.

The SC14 didn't have the beans to run any useful boost on an EJ25, at best you would achieve 2psi before over-running the supercharger.

From memory Dave ended up with a 103mm pulley on the SC14 and 130mm crank pulley, resulting in ~7.5psi of boost, the same setup on a EJ20 would give ~9.5psi of boost, this is all mathamtical theory, actual results would depend on flow restriction, throttle body, intercooler, intake pipe lengths, etc, etc.....

depends what you want to do with it

there is a system that gives the best of both worlds, a turbo and supercharger that F1 trialed in about 1980s i think (1.5 turbo era)

using an electric/hydralich clutch to switch between an exhaust turbine above 10 000 and super charger below that level
