I always appreciate real data...Outback Walker wrote:...NRMA attended and applied a diagnostic tool which reported the following fault message " Code 1468, Unknown manufacturer DTC"...
Diagnostic trouble code P1468 is Oil dilution, which is manufacturer specific. Might cause limp-home mode, don't know for sure.
Known/standard codes can be looked up at http://www.obd-codes.com
Accelerator: All modern cars have drive-by-wire, ECU gets accelerator position by measuring two voltages from accelerator (main + backup). I don't think ECU software intentionally ignores driver flattening the pedal. Real physical hardware has delays. Low boost pressure is one big problem, ECU can't inject max fuel till conditions allow it to (air amount - smoke limit). As said, active regen worsens this issue a lot.

IMHO there's no driving style preventing active regen. If ECU thinks DPF needs regen and various conditions are met, it'll happen. I often get regen ON at low power constant speed.
On Euro4 at least I get the impression passive regen isn't (noticeably) working. Exhaust gas temp at 400°C for half an hour, calculated soot level not dropping at all...
Anyone got CAN interface yet? The Tactrix Openport 2.0 device is said to work on Euro5, can log without PC connected, good solution so far. And even though EcuFlash won't work with diesels, it does display ECU software version.
