L series - outer race

Hey all,

How do I get the outer race off the front driveshaft (94 L series wagon)??? :confused:

using the steps to remove the front cv shaft you get to the point where you are left with the caliper and rotor in place.

remove these then the bearing will be in view behind the bearing/cv seal you have to either remove the knuckle and press the bearings out or use a drift to knock the bearings out

Driveshaft

Hey,

Everything has been removed from the driveshaft, except the component (see picture) still attached by a circlip. Any ideas about how to remove this?

sorry I was thinking outer race as in bearings in the hub you need circlip pliers that expand to remove the circlip holding the race on. once that circlip is off the race will slide off the shaft

Edit: sorry didn't see post with pic.. yeah, follow what TOONGA and Phizinza have said but I guess by now you have it sorted?

Remove the circlip on the end of the shaft
