Urethane bushings?

Just wondering if anyone has installed Nolathane or Superpro bushes in their L / XT series cars and had some feedback based on some use-time?

Which brand is better quality or fit?

They dont seem to list all the bushes for these older subes, but Im guessing the others (diff,steering rack,etc) from the impreza series would fit?

I have had them in Bianca for years now. (5 or more) They last for ages and give better handling, you do suffer from lose of comfort or ride, but is only minimal. And ask the board members for part numbers. I have replaced ever bit of rubber under Bianca. And Claudia is the same too.

Nolathane is a no go.
Superpro is the go.

no issues with squeeking with the fully pivoting centers instead of being bonded? And I know your going to say 'thats what the super special grease is for', but what happens when it attracts dirt, and when the rain washes the grease away?

grease also attracts grit, not seen grease wash away either

i use Castrol LMM grease and i never get any squeeking from anything
ive done.
Ive always wanted to tap a grease nipple into a joint and be able to service it like
alot of 4wd parts.

If in contact with oils. I've got a set in the rear of Ruby Scoo that have been going VERY well now for about 100k kms. I noted a good change in the rear's handling as the rubber units were shot and I remember not being able to get rubber replacements

Wasn't real happy with that but the Nolathane half bushes are working well, they were super easy to install after the old ones were knocked out!

Have L wagon with Super pro's in the front and Nolethane for the rear stabilizer bar:D

1) Installed 16mths ago.
2) 20,000kms covered over sealed and other roads surfaces.
3) Still very happy!!

i have used both brands, super pro bushes are good in some cars and in others i have used nolathane, i have seen both brands fail. I like the superpro ones better but it all comes down to whats available on the day! (also super pro do some 1 piece bushes for some applications where nolathane supply a 2 piece bush, we tried the 2 in a mates 80 series land cruiser in the rear trailing arms and you could feel the difference when driving the 80 around the corners! 1 piece bushes won that one!)

I recall Adrian saying at one stage that Urethane bushes on the rear trailing arms is a bad idea because they dont swing in a prefect arc. The rubber bushes actually have to flex to work properly. He explained it better though.

They dont need oil to contact them to fail.
Swaybar drop links are the best example of nolathane fail lol
