final post on lancelin details for sunday

Post by vidler » Fri May 19, 2006 8:07 pm

just so unorganised people like me dont have to sort back through the whole original thread to fond the meet point and time/details etc...

Meeting point
We will be meeting at the T junction of Wannaroo road and Dundebar road at 9am sharp.

from memory there is a bakery, maccas, chicken treat there with a servo accross the road for fuel...

we will be on channel 16 if there is interferance on this channel, possibly 17 or will arrange another clear channel

What to bring:
full tank of fuel (can fill up in lancelin)
uhf
packed lunch (or buy it on the way)
any recovery gear (shovels, snatch straps)-only to dig out the patrols and cruisers :D

matt can bring a pillow for sleeping in the back of his car again

i suggest chairs and possibly a camping table for the lunch stop, we should have lunch reasonably close to 12pm coz jaffa may not be there to take us to one of his magical picnic spots, which always is apparently "just around the corner" he he he he

Thanks for this post Vidler... i was thinking about doing the same myself.

Tim you could always turn up at the meet point and arrange a seat from there.

The meet point is as Jaffa said.... on the MacDonalds side... on the north side there is a long car park with a bakery. Thats the place. We should be on channel 16 on the way up there if everyone sets to that.

Damn
I had to take my Subaru down to Perth for a buyer to look at.
Now I only have my Patrol.

I will monitor uhf 16 tomorrow & will come & say hello.

If you need a heavier vehicle for recovery purposes call my mobile on 0417913268.

If you decide to come back through the Moore River State Forest I will be happy to meet at Bennies Rd & show you the way.

btw the Lancelin bakery is a good place to buy lunch, especially if you like pies & cakes etc.

no offence, but last time we went to lancelin we were sccoting over hills with a patrol and and triton ute onlooking for a while... then they decided to have a crack at it... triton got stuck, we snatched him down, patrol got stuck, triton went to snatch him down and they both ended up bogged and connected with a snatch strap

feel free to tag along though mate

And last time we went to Guilderton you got owned by a Navara.

I wouldn't pay out too heavily on larger 4wds in general, those two dickheads at Lancelin had no idea what they were doing. I certainly wouldn't turn down an offer of help on account of the vehicle type.
