EA81 gaerbox

Geday ...Does anyone know where to get a rebuilt gearbox for my 87 brumby?EA81..Im in the snowy mountains NSW..500,000 k and cant get third gear without a nasty crunch!clutch is history aswell but gearbox needs fixing...cheers.brad

hey brad im from snowy mountians aswell i dont know bout rebuilt but flynns is pretty expensive m&t arnt to bad
and maybe go a l series 5 speed
if not theres a place in mitchell in act arent to bad
i would offer u my old one but the brumby gotta go as a farm car
and what coulor is ur brumby so i can spot u out


myn was the white one with black rims and loud exhuast p plater lol
ill let u know what my new one is when i get it

fair dinkum. I just sent one to the metal recyclers <200,000Ks, It had been in a flood so I was sus on it having water in it, but I may be buying another wreck this week.

Hey mate...yeah ive waved at ya a few times,mine is beige ,i just took the white mags and snow tyres off her ..got the old wheels back on for the hot road..cheers for that info mate..brad

will know by the end of the week and it could take me another week to take it out.
This Brumby was T boned in the front end 3 years ago and has been on a farm since, doing farm stuff, not sure of K's yet.
I have a clutch as well and will throw it in with the G Box.

haha sweet thought it might be u if u see any brumby around for sale if u could let us know that would be excellent after mine is rusted through the chassis rails so wont pass rego

yeah no wuz..i know of a 92 213,000k 3500..id buy it myself but i have 2 now..i drove it in jindi and its A1..

I just did same trick, hung on to a quiet box that leaked from front seal, crunched down in to second, six years I tripped over it...... L Series five speed are well worth the work putting one in - an extra gear, better shift bushing life ....

it is always gonna happen, chuck something....
