Hail Damage?

Post by NachaLuva » Mon Dec 26, 2011 1:54 pm

Melbourne just experienced severe hail storms...again! Image

(Yes, climate change IS real!!!)

Not sure how much of Melbourne copped the bad hail. My friends car was parked here in Frankston & looks untouched. Last storm it was badly damaged so she was pretty worried! Then again last storm we only got a few drops of rain while more northern suburbs got massive hail!

I think its been the same thing, some of the same suburbs copped it while others were left untouched!

So how did your Subie fare? Image

Mine was fine, but I was stressing about Sunnie the Brumby - he's still parked outside (we're in the process of changing this) and Benders got a hail warning as well, but I've not heard of any hail reports that were news worthy - although they do tend to report un-worthy stuff up here all the time, one of the local radio stations has started a traffic report - I mean com'on people, a 5 minute wait in traffic is nothing to stress about!!!

So all was good up our way, seems the storms intensified as they passed over the city...

I won't get into a climate change debate, it's always nasty...

Cheers

hmmm.... climate change has become a bit like religeon and politics discussions, where someone comes out of it feeling defeated and overheated, or you didn't know someone was so far one way or the other, now you don't like them for it, or they don't like you (or so you think).

The climate is always changing in a very broad sense, just not for the better in recent decades in some places. 2011 has been the coldest May in 45 years, and six months later the coldest start to summer in 50 ! And we are warming up ??

Is that another splinter in my backside??

No, just looking for what we think will wipe us out next. Previous to the "climate change" debate it was 2 world wars, communism, nuclear war (the cold war), the Y2K bug and now climate change... I think we'll be fine - the climate has been changing for many millennium, yet we're basing our findings on ~200 years of data collection and some carbon dioxide readings found in ice.

Carbon dioxide is not dangerous as made out to be. That fizzy drink you may be sucking down at the moment - what are those little bubbles that make it fizz? CO2!

What do plants love to help them grow? CO2

What is essentially the building blocks of everything we know - carbon...

So to stick with the theme of this thread, my subi's were not damaged, but unfortunately some of my mate's were - Venom and Durlagurl's were - two great subi's with an unknown future at the moment...

Cheers

Me either, but it's so hard not to

Luckily the biggest Hail I've ever seen around here was no bigger than pea sized, couldn't imagine what golf ball-cricket ball sized must sound like :???:
