um what about the 12V to the coil instead of 8 or 9 that the points set up delivers through the thingamybob resistor in the ceramic doo dad?

What is the timing you got now you swapped ?

Only kidding mate you can swap from Points to Electronic easily (harder the other way) all you need is to remove the points coil and resistor and wire the new electronic coil directly to 12v ignition positive and you'll need to swap the dizzy ofcourse.

Mate, I took your advice, opened the front of my pants, all I found was this huge problem, or so the wife says!

Jonno.. yeah, he just needs to use the 12v that is at the coil (ignition switched) and if he uses the Electronic coil, it wont have the 8-9v coming out that doo-dad, as it wont be there
