Hey guys, just bought my first Subaru Brumby ute today, pretty keen on doing a few things here and there on it to tidy it up, just going to use it as a ute for too and from work and for going out to the lake I also own an r31 skyline that used to be my daily but is now getting built so I bought myself a Brumby for a daily

Nope. You'll need to source the PS pump, rack, hoses/lines and the thermostat housing as well as the matching top radiator hose from one of these that has it:wazo_1616 wrote:did a later model of the brumby have power steering ?
I can't dig up a photo of the touring wagon, but they've got the same front end as the coupe above, looks like one of these wagons but has a raised section in the roof behind the front seats. Here's the "regular" wagon, these could have PS as well:
Other things you can do to your brumby is AC if you don't already have it, central locking (after market kit) with remote entry (again aftermarket kit), electric windows - you need to do a bit of work to get this sorted though.
Do a search on the forum, there's loads of info out there for modifying a brumby from what I've mentioned above to a full blown WRX drive train and interior conversion!
Cheers

Changed engine diff and gearbox oil today
Will probably do the a/c and central locking but not power windows
Was climbing underneath her today and there's a fuel filter under the tray, does anyone know the ryco part number for that ?
Also putting a new clutch in soon, old one feels like it's on it's way out

Sure will! I've got an AP60 unit with the flat control pad installed on my L series - DIY. It makes long distance driving so much easier plus I know I'll be sweet with speed cameras if I've set the speed correctlythunder039 wrote:does anyone know if you can fit an after market cruise control unit to a brumby?? im very lazy so this would be great
It can easily be adapted to a brumby or what ever vehicle you're driving as that's what it's designed for. Tuning it can be a bit of fun though but if you follow the instructions carefully you'll understand what needs to be done and it should be simple - I hooked everything up and went for a spin and wondered why it wouldn't work until I busted out the instructions!
Could be worth a look if you're doing long stints on the road
