Igniton to inhibitor relay wiring

Post by stamp_licker » Tue May 30, 2006 8:58 pm

i'm possessed by the wiring demons. Can someone explain this circuit to me.From igniton blue/red to inhibitor plug and blue/red across to diode, red /black from diode to inhibitor relay.from the relay 2 lots of yellow/red wires to cruise[removed] and a green /yellow to brake switch, from brake switch white/black to tcu and green/white to fuse 12. How does this work, powergoes from where to where, am i missing something?

It would help if you mentioned what you want to know and what year you are playing with.

I think you are talking about a gen 1 liberty.
There is no starter relay on liberty's until 2003. Any relay that is associated with the start circuit is unrelated to actual starting of the vehicle.

Is it cruise control that you are trying to work out or just the start solenoid circuit?

sorry series1 fwd auto its 3/4 stripped out i want to put it in L with the awd auto box and ej motor. .yeah start circuit. i removed the cruise part of it.What i'm trying to workout is why there is a loop from the inhibitor up to the brake switch.do i need it?yes there are easier looms for this conv but i haven't been able to locate one so i'm just plodding along with this one, maybe until a more suitable one comes up.

Is it an Oz loom or JDM?
The JDMs had an interlock on the gearstick so you couldn't get it out of park without having the foot on the brake.
That's it, I'm spent
