Pads are really good on the 83 Brumby, i changed them not that long ago, but virtually no cable adjustment. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thought that, what's the chance of them stretching that much?

The brake mechanisms in the hubs should be self adjusting, every time you apply and release the handbrake, if adjustment is needed, it ratchets into place. This is why you must rotate the piston as opposed to push it back into place when replacing the brake pads.

Maybe the ratchet is seized.

The calipers were overhauled at a brake shop here in Bussellton, so i think they're OK. Anyone heard of these cables stretching?
