AWD 12kg Centre Diff LSD Group Buy

Post by NachaLuva » Tue May 22, 2012 2:07 pm

I have been thinking of upgrading my centre diff for a while. Having seen the difficulties & expense of modifying the gearbox with a locking centre, I was thinking a 12kg centre LSD to replace the standard 4kg might be better.

So...I was thinking a group buy might be an idea... Image

If you're interested or have any info on where is the best place to get them, post here...

Much better buying individually direct from Japan, because it's less than $1,000 no tax or GST,

So why are none of them suitable with ABS?

No idea, DCCD seems to be ok but I'd still disable it off road, way too dangerous.

You mean ABS?

I always pull my fuse as it gives me the shits and is dangerous.

sure is, i've known about it, but wasn't too concerned myself about it until few weeks ago going around a bend and finding another vehicle in my path opposite and hitting the brakes did nothing,
so quickly swerved around.
have to come up with a more convenient way of disabling ABS for the off-road than pulling the fuse though....

Should be pretty simple to wire a switch in series to the fuse... Not sure about the legality of that...

Because the manufacturer is probably covering their arse.
