For the Guitar Buffs

Post by subybrumby » Tue Aug 07, 2012 4:35 pm

Had my mexican strat repainted after some of the original paint fell off....

What do you think..I'm really happy with it...No strings yet..the neck has to be set right....Clear perspex highlights the painting and the wiring is painted black to disguise the interiors. Painted by my son's fiancee

I know I posted a reply to this thread, where did it go?

Cool looking guitar and as I said before I thought I knew all the Pink floyd album covers but the one where the volume and tone buttons is escapes me.

My dad would like that. We both play guitar.
His band at Uni was "pink froyd". They were all psychology students.

Hi Toonga...Yes, I asked the same question actually and I have forgotten the response. The painting has been done from a poster I had here that had all the albums on it. I will ask again for you. She still has the poster so I can't check.

Thanks brumby kid. It will be interesting when i get back to doing some gigs to see what reactions I get from the guitar. I have been using a japanese charvel in the interim but it will be good to get back on the strat. I play a fair bit of pink floyd but not so much at gigs. Whether its in a restaurant or in a pub, after a floyd song, you will get a few look at you and give a bit of a knowing nod but in general, the floyd music these days is not that well known in general but still appreciated more so by dedicated floyd fans.. Must remember that Dark side of the Moon came out about 70 or 1973 or so I think so its been a while. Another Brick in the Wall always gets received well. Your Dad will know what I mean....its an aquired taste I guess. ..As a solo musician though, you have to be fairly flexible and versatile so I tend to play all types of music...if I can.

Looks awesome Trev and at least you're not going to hurt the tips of your fingers on those strings ;)
