imprezza fuel pump
imprezza fuel pump
Hi, my 2004 imprezza 2 litre fuel pump is howling its head off, and ive had a look at where its located to renew it. The outlet (pressure hose) from the pump has an unusual looking fitting on it with 2 brown spring loaded plastic tabs (1 on each side) Is it simply a matter of squeezing these tabs to unclip the line, or is a special tool required. Yes I know i have to de-pressurise it first. Thanks

Not sure on the fittings on an 04 but it should un-clip near the in tank housing, I'd suggest replacing it with a Walbro 342, just make sure it's genuine, they usually go for around $120 on Fleabay.

Yes, just push the line in and squeeze the 2 tabs, then pull the line out. No special tools required.
