EJ22 running like the "choke" is pulled

Fingers crossed I fixed it thanks for the advice.
Jim..

Well it looks as if it's not 100% fixed.
It's running ok now but if she stops to fill with fuel (or any 5 minute stop) the check engine light comes on for a little while when you re start it so I will probably query the ECU again on the weekend but I'm betting that I need a new oxygen sensor.

I think that I was a bit wrong when I said back to square 1.
I believe that it's idling fine but wife says that the check engine light is on and off all the time and it feels like it's going to grind to a halt on hills.
A quick recap. The car has been fitted with new platinum plugs, new leads, new fuel pump & new ignition relays (modifiation).
From the parts car it has the coil, fuel rails & regulator, injectors and AFM.
On the weekend I'll swap the oxygen and knock sensors & fit a new air filter element.

Why not?Jim5.0 wrote:It's an AWD auto and the parts car is a FWD manual so I can't swap the ECU between the two
Im with Alex's idea, replace the knock sensor

ECU is basically the same unit, but we are not telling you to replace the ECU. just the Knock sensor which is located on the engine on the passenger side (right side when looking from the front) near the throttle body
this write up will ever guide you through the replacement.

I did mine the other day as I have had a problem of sorts (engine ping and ocassional starting problems with no code) and now I have my engine back
good luck
