Looking for image of MAMBO dog licking

Post by steptoe » Sun Oct 07, 2012 10:08 am

his bits.

been looking all over the 'net for an image to show some OS members but all I can find is a reference to it.

According to SMH story Mambo suffered an image crisis by its consumers after designing the 2000 Olympics uniforms, company sold for about 25M , changed direction and sold again for about 8M and the dog is back but he's only lighting organic gasses so far.

Th new owners are about marketing further afield overseas so the US market and UK should be covered in good time. Maybe it is get new markets used to slightly unruly dog before he goes a bit more daring ? :D

Surely someone still got a licking dog T to post up ?

Ive still got the musical bottom dog :)

Even checked out ebay - some shirts fetching (joke) top dollar

Ah yes the art work of Reg Mombassa, formally of mental as anything. urban legend has Mr Mombassa as the owner of Mambo, but he was just one of the many humble artisans fleeced by the company.

I did a seach for the said dog, only to find the image has been carefully erased from public culture.

Well you're in luck, I just washed it this morning :) An old hand-me-down from dad, quite an old shirt looking a bit worse for wear these days after so many washes, and a decent spot of bleach dropped onto the shoulder some time in its life  Believe it or not this shirt has been worn out in public quite a few times, but relegated to a round the house shirt now.

Err, should I put a censor on this or anything? NSFW?

There is a reason they last so well ...

another reason is the transfer tends to make the shirt stick to a back that sweats in the heat, which is why you have a cotton shirt on ... a thought that enters head as I put it on expecting a hot day :(

Sam, guess you or mum read the do not bleach after the event ??

Check out the detail and quality of this label !!

I like that label :) Nah the bleaching was an accident; a capful or so carelessly spilled in the laundry leaving big white blotches over more than one garment :|

Hehehe... I remember these! Never owned one though! I've got a couple of his later pieces, one's now a "shed shirt" with the markings of an engine/gearbox build on it :D

Cheers

Gannon just a word of warning, don't get caught taking photos of anything in a primary school, unless you have permission of the principal in writing. Things are very different in the land of school children.

It crossed my mind, but there was nobody around when I did it. Point duly noted though.

That's the problem, you need a witness for what caught your attention .

Do tradies need police character checks done before entering schools to work ?
