Not too bad with a clutch pencil, seems you have that well under control though

No doubt that would come in handy, but firstly t'was thinking of making a 3D CAD model to see if it can be done & in order to see what changes are required ...

Note : I've also been tying to find an actual 1:24 scale model of the xv / imprezza to chop up ...

I can knock up a 3D model or two but building a car is very, very different. :P I might have another go on Sketchup if I'm feeling adventurous, but it's no easy task!

Just found out Tamyia does a 1/10 scale model of the XV :

I just have to find one for the right price now ...

Add : Ba humbug, it hasn't come out yet ... Doh ...

Saw an XV with atleast 2" of lift today the arches modified and larger tyres.

It was pearly white and in Maddington with extra tinted windows and had a skid-plate visible from the front.

So, whenever you do Brumbify an XV, there will be someone making Lift kits and mods for it.

It was so good looking I wish I'd had a camera on me to take a shot!

Modelling a car would be very tricky. You'd be working from photos only. It would be pretty hard to get everything drawn to proportion.

I can give it a shot though when I get spare time (I'm a 3D modeller)

I've used ArchiCAD, AutoCAD & Sketchup ...

id use solidworks to model it.

Solidworks actually has a nice rendering feature unlike 95% of other modelling software.

Solidworks is amazing. Don't like the $6000 price tag but it's fun to use at work.
