Engine stalls when clutch pressed in

Thought I would close this thread off as the problem is solved

the carby came right off, got a thorough clean, and a rebuild kit run through it. It was a mixture of vacum leaks (like so many of you said

) and bits of dirt and old gasket clogging up things inside.
