MY, EA81 oil gauge pressure sender info

Post by Cliff R » Sun Apr 21, 2013 8:54 am

I am being a bit lazy here but I need asap a link to a thread to some info regarding the oil gauge sender unit for an EA81 (or 82 I think) engine which was posted not that long ago.
I cant find it easily and I dont expect anyone to spend their Sunday looking for me, I just thought the person who provided the info may be able to find it quicker than me.
The info related to some new part numbers/info relating to buying the gauge sender unit easier than what is has been in the past.
Hope this make sense.

When we used to change from digital dash (which has the oil pressure light) over to the analogue dash (which uses the pressure gauge) then we would just swap over the pressure sender unit on the oil pump. The gauge type is a large round can type (which has a philips head screw on the top of it) as opposed to the light type which has a small sender type.

The engine oil pressure switch SKU number 15030-AA011, translates as OE part number 15030-AA011, 15030-AA011, 80249006359.

Im not sure if this is the correct part number as I keep getting the reference with oil light.

beck arnley do an after market part http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Beck-Arnley- ... 5649565076 for the gauge

a little more searching tells me this

http://www.fcpimport.com/products/subar ... 5030-aa011

is the gauge type

Frog would be the one to find out if the subaru part number is right.
