Hi all,
Im curious as to whether an exhaust from the cat back off a brumby would fit a 1983 Leone wagon? Mines a little 'holy' Any ideas?
Cheers,

No one seems to be sure, even the 'subaru specialist' mechanics I frequent.
I ended up going wild with some exhaust putty, The exhaust from the cat back was a can of worms... little rust holes everywhere. I have heard that it is often a symptom of short drives and not getting up to operating temp, effectively rusting from the inside out.
Sounds much better than before, a bit more like a boxer as more exhaust is getting to the end of the pipe, rather than a rough fart-like sound from under the drivers seat.
Was quoted $100 to delete the doughnut gasket and replace the pipe to the muffler (before I found rust holes in the cat/resonator.

Sorry I missed your first post and to answer your question.. yes, they are the same. All MY Series (that are PT4WD) have the same exhaust system but some of the joins at the flex joint are different. If they don't match up, just use the complete system including the headers.

I have an 83 wagon centre and 82 sedan rear exhaust section(s) on my 89 Brumby, so they definitely all fit together...
1989 Brumby - Shiny new red paint, stroked EJ20 phase 2 SOHC with Darton sleeves bored to EJ22, Wiseco high-compression pistons, Delta 2000 grind cams , EJ/XT6 5 stud with WRX 4/2 pots, 5-speed, 86 GTS seats and so much more.
