hey guys decided not to lift SportySu and just cut and bash her until the new rubber fitted, i also didn't want to pay for flexy flares so i done what i could with what i had at home hope you enjoy..
well i got excited as soon as the rubber was on so i took her for a quick 4wd up some sand dunes etc.. bad idea chewed a fair bit of my rubber away ha
i decided i would just take out as much as possible (go hard or go home) ha
i had to bash all along the yellow line & where i have circled in the footwell
as you can see i went a bit nuts with the cutting.. i was going to pop rivet a rubber belt to use as my fenders but i decided against it (after already hacking away at the whole fender)
Instead i decided to cut slices in the fenders and mold them up and bog.
i took the mudflaps back as far as possible about 50mm
you cant really tell in this photo but i have flared out where the mud flap used to be so it will be sitting about 30mm out to cover my wider tyres..
cut and mold till it feels right
i simply just sliced up to the black line molded up and then trimmed to make it look somewhat ok ha.
fit crimpweld (tailgate seal in my case) to guide the bog in the right direction
mix up needed amount then slap it on and its pretty much like filling up and ice cube tray it finds where its ment to be its self so dont play with it too much or you will be sanding for days to get it perfect.

not that mine is even close to perfect ha, i used a white can of Rustkill spray paint so looks pretty out of place.
if you are going to do this while your cutting away just remember you will have to re attach the mudflaps either sitting further out or in relatively the same position.
for the rear i literally cut slices with a 1mm blade all the way around.
then grabbed my trusty pliers and pulled it up.
then got out hammer and bashed.
happy to answer questions if anyone is actually interested in doing this ha

no more pics sorry mate it was a bit of a rushed hot sunday afternoon job and had to be ready for the misses to drive it the next day.
i wish i got a before photo with stock rims and wheels, might go to the effort of putting them back on before i do the suspension upgrade.
SportySu hasnt got much love since this just a little touch up paint.
