4EAT Compatibility? 97 BG Outback
4EAT Compatibility? 97 BG Outback
What autos will bolt in with no mods and work in a 97 Outback with a EJ25 DOHC motor?
Thanks,
Thanks,

An auto from a 94-97 Outback would give the right ratio, an auto from a Liberty or Impreza up to 97 should bolt up and work with the TCU.
Later autos with the external oil filter use a completely different TCU control setup

It would bolt in and would mostly work with the outback TCU, not sure if the diff ratio would be correct though. Gen2 Outbacks were 4.111 I think
The FSM says the output waveform is opposite to the DutyC solenoid is opposite in the VTD compared to that of the MPT. This was a Gen3 FSM, but the diffs are constructed the same, bar the ratio
Matching VTD TCU would fix this
