Anyone up for a Garage trip this weekend?

Post by tim_81coupe » Thu Jul 27, 2006 11:10 pm

Anyone interested in coming over to my house this weekend to help / watch me pull apart my lil' coupe? I'm pulling out most of the parts, gotta keep it rolling for now though until I do the same to my wagon, which I might also start this weekend.

I shouldn't need any tools or anything, I'll be grabbing what tools I need from my toolbox at work and I have engine lifting equipment.

I'm hoping to remove the engine, gearbox, wiring loom and fuel system. That should occupy most of the weekend, I'll be going at a beer's pace, not that I will be consuming too much of it! I don't want to over extend myself just yet, got a long way to go.

So is anyone keen?

Remember the whole coupe-yellow sticker post?
Everything in the coupe is getting transplanted into Tim's wagon. Which, of course, won't ever get yellow stickered :p

(i'd have pasted the link to the yellow sticker post but it's no longer listed and it's just too much work to go messing around with advanced search functions to find it :/ )

Thankyou to those who showed, those that didn't we'll have to catch up soon.

Didn't get a huge amount done, all in all I think I spent about an hour or so actually working on the car. The engine and gearbox are both out and sitting on the floor. I did remove the wiring, radiator, fuel system and various other little bits & bobs yesterday, so I was sort of cheating :)
It was good to catch up with the WA BYB crew, saw some people I haven't seen in a long time.
Thanks again guys.
