awd gearbox crossmember for brumby
Hey peoples, I'm just chasing some info on the gear box crossmember for an awd conversion to a brumby. I would like a few photos if possible as most the threads have dead links. I'm planing on taking out the ej22, awd single range gear box diff ect out of the l series and putting it all in my brumby. The conversion the the l series is a bit agricultural at best... also will the rx cradle fit into the brumby? This is the list of stuff in the l series.
EJ22 liberty motor
GEN 1 running gear Rx cradle with sway bar
GEN 2 5 speed AWD box
4 wheel disk brakes
EFI fuel tank with external vl turbo fuel pump
Thanks

hey mate i owned this car for about 8 years before the bloke you bought it from did
need any help identifying anything let me know - there's a lot of stuff from different cars in there
you can probably read through my old posts to find a bunch of stuff out
the ej22 conversion came from Shuffbag's red L, you can probably find out a bit from his posts too
pretty sad to see it being taken apart - was a solid rig

the red L donor

thanks

I did buy it with the intention of keeping it as is, spent just over a 1800$ on it getting all the wheel bearings cvs and engine and gearbox mounts fixed and got defected to regency a week later. The end result is they wanted all the rust repaired, seats fixed, seat belts replaced and a full engineering report done. Now has 2 canaries and been taken off the road. Not what i had planned but you win some and you loose some. Figured i just put all the gear in the brumby and go from there. Cheers for the info though ill be searching the posts for sure.
yowza
were you hooning it through the police car park or something? that's super unlucky. only thing i ever got pulled over for was the worn number plates, and even that was before the conversion and 27's.
also it's a dual range awd box in it. there's like an eyelet looking tab on top of the box to switch between high and low, should be in high at the moment, whichever way you can push the tab (with it out of gear) will be low
