For any part (and I mean any part) on an MY wagon, sedan, coupe or hatch, just ask me

After much waiting, confusion, forlorn hope, paying for it twice and having given up on seeing it altogether (difficulties with an ebay seller) this arrived today. It is staggering how much information is in here, literally every single nut, bolt, washer and set screw inside and out (including individual parts inside the gearbox) is accounted for in this book. Want to know the original part number for a wagon tailgate lock striker? How about the bolts that hold it down? New cylinder head?

Totally chuffed, also with 2 FSM's my old Subie literature library is nearly complete

I say nearly, this parts catalog doesn't have MV/Brumby specific parts. Also only goes up to February 1981, so later upgrades and variants aren't there. But still, this is the only one I've ever seen so quite happy

Another good website for L's is http://parts.subaru.com/ - an American site but part numbers are generally the same. I've guided Frog to the part I need with a part number from this site.

It's so good for research for gear ratios etc but can be tedious.

Also I'm not sure it covers the good ol' MYs

Yes, feel much the same when I open my two book L Series manuals - the info is almost faultless. Better clear out your inbox Sam. Don't supose you have a part number for the EA81T stuff ? Or that might be on El-Freddo's link

Glad it all worked out. What you gonna do about paying twice ? Wait for the second one?

OH, BTW just flicked dodo services who whacked the monthly up to $25 without notification or successful communication attempt to renegotiate a use amount of figure. I figure $25 for an average of usually less than 1.5GB a month is abit harsh. Working through my XXXXXX MF90 pocket wifi that works as a hot spot once plugged in - no need to frig around with wifi hook up

I am curious on the part number for the nylon part in the steering column that wears out and wont cancel the indicators.
Don't know if this is listed separately or not but just interested anyway.

Well Cliff, you've managed to find a part that isn't listed on the first try

It isn't listed separately, it is all part of the combination switch assembly (with the indicator stalk) which is 7831 11000

and I reckon that the 85 86 L series had the same part in their combo switches. I kept one ...somewhere ...??? for comparison one day

I have the same book as Sam but for the L Series 86-92.
As per the MY version the combo switch is all that is listed.
I have an L series combo switch and from memory the indication canceller isn't there or is a different size.
Will have to have a look in the morning.
I am keen to get a hold of an old MY indicator canceller (for want of a better name) and have a play in making a new one from some nylon rod.
Just have to get one from somewhere.

Yep the indicator cancelling sleeve doesn't have a part no & can be reproduced via the 3D printing technique as demonstrated elsewhere on this site ... ( Might post a link to it if 'ya cant find it ) ...

Probably because the linked ones are the part number for a newer car, they must be all the same

Or it's just a stock photo.
