Can't get into Forum
Hi, Buddyboy here, I been attempting to gain access to AUSubaru on Tapatalk.
Soon as I click to open a topic I get message "no result".
Can you help, been off line for a fair while.

Whoop whoop!!!
I've finally been able to get on again - using internet explorer. Everything else I've tried doesn't work past the main page - safari or chrome, no good.
After the main forum page I always get a file path invalid or if I try again I get some message that says the address doesn't exist or may have been moved...
I hope it's all sorted out soon!
Cheers
Bennie

What's up with that??Invalid forum path specified! Please edit this file and be sure to include the correct path for your $forumpath variable
I hope it's all sorted out soon!
Cheers

Safari on my phone gives the same message as it does from the laptop on chrome - both the same for the work laptop and our personal one.TOONGA wrote:just use the forum link it should work in any browser, the front page was removed from the database ... no idea why

I'm just glad that I could get on here to say something about it. Not good for those active users that are keeping the forum alive as such...
Very frustrating!

PS/edit: I've also stopped getting email updates for new posts on threads I've subscribed to

Yes - I've tried to contact Brett several times since my first post now - jist of response I did get were 'I forget stuff' - with promises to fix it.
Have also been speaking with Jan and a few others who would like to help, but we seem to be going nowhere ...
Suggestion was to get someone that knows him - to contact directly & remind him ...
Failing that to contact the provider - Godaddy ? ( I think they are a US based company ) ...
Ciao, Bantum ...

Future Directions ...
Yer sorry I haven't had any luck with Brett not responding to my inquires - as he is the only one who has access to the admin account I'm unable to do anything until he does what he says he is going to.
That being to give full access rights to new Admin / Moderator personnel ...
Not sure what to do next - couple of options come to mind :
- Find somebody that knows him personally & get it sorted ... ( Jan maybe ? )
- Contact the provider ( Godaddy ? ) & get all the Admin details ? ( Could be done as in the case of a deceased person ? )
- As last resort - Start a new Forum ? ( this has a draw back in not being able to use the resources built up on here )
Looking for any other options out there ?

Don't like this one simply for the stated lost resources. I'm already on several forums but this one is special to me for the information shared on the older models. I find this forum a lot easier to find info from the past unlike larger forums such as the USMB.Bantum wrote: As last resort - Start a new Forum ? With such a wide selection of forums available I doubt there is any real benefit to starting up a new one. There are several good Australian based forums other than Ausubaru - but they don't have the same amount of knowledge of the older models and members with older vehicles are few and far between

I'm holding out on someone getting hold of Brett and sorting out the forum - maybe even hand over the reins if he doesn't want to do it any more...

Update ..
Well I have some good news from Brett, it looks like our requests for fixes are filtering through & the problems with the forum are finally being looked at ...
You'll just have to be patient though to see if / when they can be fixed.
