What rear shocks for a Lifted Brumby ?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the part number or details on what shocks to use on a Brumby with a 2" body lift ?

If your lift kit has Shock extensions(most do) then you'll use standard length, so anything that says it fits a Brumby or MY sedan/wagon.
If you don't have or don't want to use the shock extensions, then i'll shut up and listen in! cause i'd like some longer travel shocks too!

Is it 60 series landcruiser shocks that fit...maybe ?

As for long travel if nobody can help, you may need to remove your shocks and get measurements of compressed and full flex and match something up in say a rancho catalogue (that can be found on the net).

Thanks for the feedback .. I will just pull them off and order a set from the book, just thought if someone had already done it them that would save me some time and effort.

I am not running rear shock extensions or front strut blocks. I have 2" body lift but am going with longer travel struts and longer rear shocks.

Have also pulled the blocks and am going with a sub frame so that I can tie the blocks in at front and rear as the current setup looked a little to much like stacking blocks for my liking. Once done I will go and get it approved just to keep the DoT happy.

Landcruiser front shocks. Not sure if its 70 series or 80 series.

Over here in WA all the lifted MY's use the MGR-504 Monroe GasRisers, as found under the bum of HQ sedans. We do use an adaptor for this though.

What tim said. However both sets that I owned would develop leaks and would require constant pumping up to stay nice and high.

i after info as well
ive seen another brumby with cruiser shocks at the rear WAY TOO STIFF
2 inch longer for the rear but nice and soft
possibly considering the air adjustable
advice?

what brumby was this in bundy,im running cruisershocks out of an 09 lc70 and as mentioned before, way too stiff

i ended up with going with the cruiser shocks, the pedders one, same listing as 27 other vehicles
i dont think they are to bad. i have unsway bared and picking a good line i go nearly every were my mate goes with his lux

my brumby is the red one i have been out of town for a bout a month now, lifted 2", kumhos on the weekend, and a big stereo often see me at sound offs

yea i got the white one with 27in buckshots, flame decals and bout to get all the spotties back on it, thought u were comin to pine creek a while back i the brumby,

This information has helped me. Talk about a thread dig! If anyone is still watching...
Have been looking for a readily available shock absorber that could be used without the lift block in the back. Just bought a pair of these for my wagon, yet to see them in the flesh and what adaptor may be needed. Air adjustable seems a perfect match for me as I could pump it up/down depending on load/comfort required. Given up on the idea of a coil spring for each wheel in the back, will see how floppy my torsion bar turns out to be and maybe swap it for a Ute one.

Sam, if these are the units I think they are I'll dig up a pic of the "adaptors" and send it to you
