I think that car belongs to one of the Tasmanian members, I think their user id was LegacyTT, but not 100% sure.

Yes that is my machine. Got an email from your mate so replied to him. Only change recently has been conversion to single turbo and fitting a dual range box with L series low gearset along with a plated LSD from and RXturbo. Just came back from a trip to Thredbo then return via Sydney, with a roof pod full of skis was quite impressed with the economy of 9.5L/100k cruising at 110.

what gearbox did you end up using? have you gone back to a GX style cable clutch and dual range box?

how are you finding the single turbo pushing the 28" tyres? done much offroading yet?

I have a 3.9 Liberty NA Dual range box and yes have gone back to cable clutch. Got a 1500lb Jim Berry job and it handles the power fine. Have towed a car trailer with a My on it without any hassles.

The single turbo setup is heaps better allround than the TT. Much smoother power delivery, admitedly it comes on boost a little later as I am using an RS VF12. Hasn't been an issue offroad and the lower gearing of the NA box matches well to the bigger tyres. At 110 kph the motor is doing 2800 much the same as an Aus RS turbo box with normal tyres. This is the best setup I have had in this car, and there have been quite a few, so good I can't see it changing any time soon.
