how to get more from an ej22
just woundering what can be done to an ej22 to beef its performance up?get a bit more bang for the buck so to speak

I can't see an aftermarket computer making a huge difference on an EJ22. I'd agree with Mudrat that the first two big steps would be a K&N filter and a 2 1/2" exhaust, but would probably wager that cams would be the next step. Really depends on how silly you want to go, Brumberty from these forums is running an LPG / blown EJ22 that would give the WRX's a run by the sound of it!

Is Brett still an agent for Microtech? If not I'd suggest a Wolf3D, for the reason that it's the only aftermarket EMS I've had any involvement with.

bang for buck = EJ20T swap
dont bother spending money on cams, computers and head work your wasting your time. The quickest EJ22 around was george's and it still had nothing on a stock EJ20T. he had spent about the same as doing an engine swap
