Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).

Okay - serious reply. 
Easiest exhaust upgrade is a cat-back system. Any competent exhaust place can bend the pipe for you and fit a free flowing muffler. Sizes vary, but i think a 2.25" is probably the best compromise. Any larger and you'll have constant droning at highway speeds which might sound good initially but the novelty will soon wear off.
Do your exhaust mods AFTER the body or suspension lifts. This way you'll be able to make best use of the space available to you.
The way I described would cost anywhere between $250 and $400, depending upon the quality of muffler you choose and if you want a gucci looking chrome tip.
Both my Outback and Brumby have had these mods done to them.

Hint , soft joints in the exhaust pipe stop the exhaust acting as a long engine steady bar . Its often the exhaust itself resonating and transmitting the low frequency vibration to the cabin area .
Stick you head under the back of a late model Commode Door , plenty of flex joints .
Also you'd think for a biting snarling 140 Hp 2.25 inch tube should be plenty .
I'd also be fitting a good quality 2.25 inch modern cat behind the turbo because the nearly 20 yr old std one would have well and truly earnt its money . Also think carefully about a dump pipe with a seperate vent path for the waste gate outlet - proper ones work . If you just have a huge volume behind the turbos outlet it'll ring like a bell and give a slight pressure rise behind the turbine which is exactly what you don't want .
