Strut braces

Post by MrTong » Mon Mar 17, 2025 11:10 am

Hey all you internet people!

Recently completed my ej swap in my l series! Has anyone done a strut brace on there l series? I'm guessing I could take a liberty one and drill the pcd to make it fit?
Cheers, Reily

G’day MrTong,

I haven’t used an EJ one but I’m sure that will work. You might not need to change the bolting pattern to fit the EA strut pattern - you’d know with the 5 stud conversion already under your belt!

My setup uses a bar that bolts to the original mounts that the spare tyre bracket bolted to. This also bolts to the spare wheel mount and is designed for storing tools and spare parts when offroad.

I don’t know that mine adds any rigidity, the body mounts have not moved yet and this was installed years ago!

Cheers
