it probably is same question for all subie boxes given their design.

are the diff bearings just in at the stubs replaceable just by removing the screw in seal plate ? thinking not but thought would ask

No, only the cone. The bearing are on the diff TIGHT. You have to pull the box down and the diff is the second last thing to come out. Pullers are needed to get the bearing off, unless you butcher it. Sorry for the bad news, but I might have a good box for sale soon....
If it can't be cut, welded or re-machined, you probably don't need it.
