Apparently the video footage of his death shows he had the strength to pull the barb back out of his chest. Tough bugger!

RIP Steve. You will be sorely missed champ, not only as an Aussie icon and wildlife conservationist, but as a father, a husband and a son. My condolences go out to Robert (snr), Terri, Bindi and young Bob.
