Blue 2003 Ford XR6 manual ute with a hard tonneau. Only mod on the horizon is an LSD.

C'mon people. Purge the hatred. And when you're done, remember I'm still a Subaru fanatic through and through. :D

Congrats tim.

Oh are you moving to a ford dealership now?
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

I don't beleive he got the Yaris first (too long a wait for stock or something).

I think Tim must have cought some kind of Bogan desease from somebody at that B&S he went to :p

It is much easier to do circle work in the Falcon, than it is in the Yaris:D

Well that was close Timbo.
Had you got the Yaris we would had to get the gang together for a family intervention.
We would of had you drugged and removed to Shenton Park Hospital.
You would have had a nice rest and deprograming along with lots of
electrocution to the testies.
Followed by the shaving of the scrotum.....
But owning a ford just makes you a bogin..

LOL! I was expecting more comments than I got with the Yaris. The decision to buy a ute was made well before the B&S ball and I pulled out of the Yaris thing about a fortnight after I announced it on the board.
I didn't want to post about my intended purchase before it happened, as the Falcon was a long way down the list of considerations.
Firstly I test drove a couple of RS Libertys, and looked at a few more. Decided they weren't quite my bag, then I had a look at a Forester GT. Drove a VS SS Ute and laughed all the way home... I'm so proud I built my Leone. I test drove a Magna.. never will again. I looked at some 4 door Skylines and test drove an R33 GTS-T and was fairly happy with that, although it didn't really suit my needs. Then I decided to look at utes again, and after looking at a few Falcons I had decided to get one. It just so happened a contractor who frequents my work had his old BA work ute for sale.... stick shift and all. Test drove it and made my mind up.

Got it for $20,000. It had 90,196 when I picked it up last night, it now has something like 90,350 :D. No pics yet as I figured you guys wouldn't be all that interested. I'll take a couple tomorrow.

And once again.... I am still a Subaru boy. I'll update my sig soon too.... I do still own all 3 of those cars albeit in different configs. 4 cars all up, seems like I'm chasing AndrewT!!

EDIT: Oh and Pete, I just got back from Shenton Park (sister's nearly recovered fully from Guillain-Barre). I think you meant Graylands :P.

oh....the shame.... you did contract some sort of STD from a filthy bush pig at that last B&S ball you attended...

time to wash your dangling bits with a steel wire brush and some kero...

hahaha... honestly, good on you. if I had a choice between the two aussies, I would have gone for the BA also. They seem to be well finished for an australian car.

Now....PICS.

Good or bad they will always be there for you and viser verser
i like driving the ford because of the power and its gassed but
it pales into insignificance to driving the vortex.

other than circle work, the ute should have more room than the Yaris for any other sort of work, including B&S 'stuff'. Fuel economy no longer an important consideration since fuel prices dropped eh ?
