QRC Rally.

Who on here went to the rally just gone?

I was on SS1, and we had 3 prangs within 100m of us, and we got some spares :P.

1 '05ish WRX driver side guard. (Slightly bent, but otherwise, in good nick)
1 Mitsubishi grille. (2 Small cracks, but otherwise, in good nick)
1 Mitsubishi drivers side indicator. (Perfect, Just replace the bulb holder, and your sweet).

That was it.

Dad and I were doing flying finish, and right in front of us there was a F***in big water puddle, so I told dad, Im sitting in the car. So we packed up, and sat in the car for the rally. The car got painted brown.

After we finished, we went and checked out the black celica that met its demise on our stage (2nd car to prang, hit a rather solid tree), then headed on over to the stage that you guys were doing. We stayed there for a bit, then headed on out to the service place, and handed in our parts, got some warm (ok, it was just warm) food, then we headed on home.

Stopping at Imbil turnoff for some much needed afternoon tea and a cuppa, I saw the clouds coming in, and told dad to hurry up. So I put my L stickers back on, and told dad to get in, as just as we left, it p****d down.

Driving along, The car was starting to head towards the other side of the road, And I had leftish turn on...................... That was fun.

Goin along the flats, the hollows in the road filled up with water and it was pulling hte car everywhere, so I got over to the left side of the road to avoid the water. Was fun.

About 5mins later, I was doing about 50km/h, with visibility down to 10ish m in front of me, and dad said pull over under the bridge, but it was too late, I had already gone past it, so I pulled over under the next one.

So here we are, sitting under a bridge, pouring rain, and next minute there is a rather loud THUD (We could hear it over the radio), and suddenly we start seeing cars stop in front of us. A few minutes later, here come the sirens...............

We sit there under the bridge for about 20mins til the rain eased off, then we got back onto the road, and the semi that was 2 cars in front of us put his airbrakes on, so I turned the car off and had a sleep.

Dad woke me up a bit later and the semi was still there but slowly moving along, so I got moving again as well.

That was pretty much it, until we got home, I had some dinner (It was about 6ish), and went straight to bed. I woke up at about 10 this morning.............


And thats pretty much it.
