basic plot ? It is a documentary! Basic plot is the motorist is getting ripped off.

Old man devises battery to give better miles to electric motor, car company buys controlling interest gets sold on to an oil company. diversifying their investments ? maybe their ' investment' in oil production perhaps.

The guts of it sems to be we do not need oil to run a car. Free power from the sun once you own the cells, but if all this happened car companies and oil companies would go bust

aside the doco, was it Sth Aus that would not allow a fella register an electric car coz it had no internal combustion motor ?

One day, China will make an electric car we can all import, drive for nix and then the car companys might go broke, oil companies only produce oil for manufacturing goods, governments will need to find a new tax instead of fuel tax/ excise etc

IT is well worth seeing

Not that much wil change in our lifetime....

actaully what happened to the qld based sherpa that ran around brissy that was also electric powered.

would like to have a chat with him - watched the doco on the EV1- neat car - sad that it was canned. I remember about the same time a truck version was also on offer to factories as well.
