Hatch battery... limitations...

Post by SuBaRiNo » Sun Nov 19, 2006 2:16 pm

I hit my limit of my car battery this weekend... I played my stereo at full noise (loudest as possible before destorting) for 5 solid hours.... Stereo consists of the head unit, 2 amps, sub and front + rear speakers.

I also had running a small cooler/warmer, 2 fluro lights and the interior light. Kept playing it till i started to notice the stereo begin to destort... tryed to start the car and got nothing but clicks.

Alarm still armed with the cetral locking and disarmed in the morning when it desided it might just have enough juice to turn over and start.

Probably going to take a month to have it charged back up to full capacity now. LOL

Well at least now you know how long she will last... still 5 hours will put all of us to shame.
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

was a funny camp... there was an almost constant rave party under the fluro at the back of the hatch... stupid me only left like a 3m gap between my tent and my car though so drunk people kept falling on the tent.
