Swan Subaru specials

Post by AndrewT » Thu Oct 19, 2006 9:57 pm

Just picked up the Quokka tonight and it looks like Swans are having a special again...

RS Liberty Frontcuts (EJ20 turbo) from $1900 - that would most likely not include gearbox or diff.

EJ16,EJ18,EJ20,EJ25 non turbo motors from $900

Turbo gearboxes from $900

It's the Kenwick one - 9493 3555
(absolute pricks to deal with!)

Yeah... actually the online add for the quokka sings a slightly different story. They have ej22s also and a few other bits and bobs.

Or maybe all the people with EJ22s have realised how much better ea82Ts are and there is absolutely no market for the ej22s... possible.

No comment... other then SWAN shits me! I hate that place (however most of the WA crew have reported that at 1 thime or another).
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

Don't do that unless you've got a thick skin! Rang the w*nkers last week for some MY98/MY99 WRX fuel rails and got a blunt "NO" followed by a clunk, then a reversing truck.

They'll never see another dollar of mine again.

I got stung the other day at A1 something wrecker in Malaga (Subaru and Commodore). Bought a EA82T engine cable loom - $100. Found a set of rear shocks with King Springs fitted, realised now that they are for the earlier wagon (shorter) $50 ea. Will check the springs against my old shocks and length. Anyone know about the difference?

Enquired about a RS WAIC complete - $450, way too pricey! Will check the RS Liberty boards.

Wow that is pricey. Should be able to score one for between $100 and $150 for sure on that forum.
You'll probably find those shockies might have been from a 2wd Subaru. Either that or the Kings springs are the Superlow or Ultralow variety. Could have been in an RX sedan specced for street use or something.

My experiences with A-part have all been relatively positive so far...I'd try for a refund or store credit for the suspension at least.

Yeah thanks Andrew, might just do that on Saturday. Need to remeasure the existing ones, they it way high in the rear now, need the normal ones before I go and fit the lift kit.

Swapped shocks for a later model set, other ones were the adjustable types and were 20mm shorter. Hard to get a good pair, as most had rust on the shafts as they had been sitting around. To be fair he said he would do see to it if they leaked or were stuffed, which was good.
