final shit

Post by Subafury » Wed Nov 29, 2006 10:33 pm

heres the final arrangements for u's.

alex, dave n kerri and whoever else decides to come the lat minute will meet at my house 7.30 ish sat morning. arrival time at wedge approx 11.
subarino n cara, andrewt? will tell me a time to meet him back at lancelin later on in the day, or if theyre feeling confident will take the beach up and meet us down the coast more.

on sunday we'll head back to lancelin at like 3pm ish so u's can get home before the sun sets coz i know ur prolly scared of the dark. unless ur not of course in which case we will change it later.

my mates are still sortin emselves out -but yeh i might be meeting one sat in lancelin and another possibly sun or mon whatever. and im prolly bringin one. anyways u dont have to worry bout them, nor will i :p

bring: obviously spares inc a little coolant (rainwater avail at wedge)-shovel is a good idea too, snacks/food for 4 meals, however much booze/drinks u want in an iced up esky, beachwear/boards/rods etc, sleeping bag and a pillow, jumper, sunscreen, fresh batteries for ur cb ;) , phone- although ltd reception, any other amusement material.

cant think of any thing else atm. ask anything i missed.

Sorry guys I won't be able to make it. I have to work ALL of Saturday, probably into the night aswell. Not really worth me getting up early to make the trip up on Sunday.
I'll probably be going to do a quick Powerlines treck on Sunday with some dudes from Perth-4x4 forum though so at least I'll still get my offroad fix.

yes Subarino Dave caught a nice LITTLE sand whiting first cast, then Carla caught the biggest herring i have ever seen a while later. Then Subarino Dave caught another standard herring, all i managed was a baby flathead!, and D3vil Dave got nothing!

the trip was awesome, i cbf doing the write-up, way too tired! i can say though...i recovered hatchie! you beauty, its been my dream ever since i first saw the hatch! lol

ok ill do the write up then.

me, alex, d3v1l dave and kerri and a mate of mine got to lancelin about 10.30am then took the beach up to wedge- it was best ive seen it in years. due to the low tide beach was so smooth we were doin like 80km/h the whole way. Soon after we got there and set some stuff up we had a bit of an explore round the dunes before alex noticed his fan had chopped his loom again. after a little swim. then we had to flog it back to lancelin to pick up my mate ben and subarino who had been waiting for like an hour. alex was havin trouble keepin up as i got there in about 25 mins. (usually takes bout 40 :) ) anyways back up at wedge we set more shit up in the shack- generator, quad bike (thanks daves), sleepin crap etc
continued drinking. then had a big explore round the dunes where just about everyone except ben's forester got stuck. carby boy and hatchie went a little too far and got bogged good, isloated in the fine silica sand.
hatchie got free and had to snatch alex out.
then after we ate enough sand and eventually a meaty BBQ we went for some late night spud gun and nuts action. a mix of potatoes, rags, onions and glostick juice was fired at cars- including our own. whoops.
more drinking.

the next day alex, daves and carla went for some fishing where the "Professional Fishman" Alex didnt catch anything, whilst subarino and carla came back with some good sized herring. meanwhile i had a crap surf (due to the crappy swell). then we messed around a bit more, then packed up the shack and headed back to lancelin for a little play and then started for home.

Damage Report:
Subi- overheating problems again which caused a few cooling down stops throughout.
Alex- Chopped through wiring loom again- pretty bad this time.
Subarino- Debeaded a tyre whilst doing some enjoyable donuts in the sand. Go HATCHIE!!!
D3V1L- couldnt get the quadbike started until all the electrics had a check thru. damage also caused to his reputation because he doesnt have a 4by :p
Ben- Plastic stoneguard ripped off the front of his forester. (he let D3V1L dave drive it)

pix n vids comin. evry one post up theirs coz i didnt get many quality ones.

As it turns out, that mornign before we got to wedge there was a landcruiser stuck in the ocean off the beach, andrewt showed me the photos and i beleive that the red mitsubishi delica that we kept seeing during the trip is in the photos, i cant beleive we where too late to see it...dam it!!!

as for the trip, thanks Subi Matt for the invite(was an awesome trip)
Thanks Subarino for doin the wiring on the quad so i had a vehicle
Thanks to Alex for driving me and kerri-ann up to wedge and back
Thanks to Carla for entertaining kerri-ann while i went out :D
And a BIG thanks to Matts mate ben for lending me the forrester for some fun!!!

LOL yeah great day... Thanks HEAPS matt for inviting us.. very glad i went... got over 120km/hr on the beach which was pretty awesome. Im spewing about my tyre... final donut for the trip and i had to do it. grrr

Alex i wouldn't get too used to snatching me out... it might not happen again. Sticker still rings true though... u still did not want to follow me through were i went... i was eaxtreamily unlucky and found my way into a very very soft section deep in the dunes. Sunk to the chassy. Makes me feel a little better that Alex got bogged just trying to get to where i was.
