can you get turbos put in for L series?

If you have a non-turbo L series, yes you can make it a Turbo L series.
It's called an engine Conversion.

You will have an EA82 engine in it right now, either a carby model or an EFI.
If you have an EFI one already this makes it easier to convert.

The easiest way to do it is to convert to EA82T. This is the turbo version of your existing engine.
If your car is already EFI then all you really need is to swap over the engine. With some minor wiring modifications it will run from your existing harness and ECU (This is what Jaffa is running in his wagon).
If your car is Carby then you will need a few more items such as EFI fuel tank, wiring harness and ECU.

You will also need to either modify your engine crossmember to accomodate the crossover turbo exhaust pipes (or source a turbo crossmember).

There are ways to convert a non-turbo EFI EA82 motor to turbo by bolting the turbo & manifolds on but this isn't ideal and is more difficult in the long run.
That being said, EA82turbo motors are getting quite rare these days.

There are also other more extreme paths you can follow....read up on the sticky thread under Conversions for outlines of how to convert to an EJ series of motor (from the later Liberty or WRX models).
