Rear subframe replaced
Ever since I got the car (bout 2 years) it's had some pretty bad negative camber on the rear wheels - turns out the trailing arms themselves were actually twisted.
Just replaced the whole rear subframe with one from a 1993 model today.
Problem solved, wheels more or less straight now. Boy does she handle better! Now I can actually throw her into corners at break-neck speeds without changing underwear afterwards.
*** Added a list of all the stuff I carry onboard at all times if anyones interested. There is probably more but I cbf going out to the car at this hour

I just discovered the source of a very annoying noise the car has had ever since the EJ conversion. The custom Tailshaft I picked up....turns out one of the front uni joints is completely shagged. And I mean completely.
I litterally need to use a fair amount of strenth to actually move it in either direction on this particular joint!
Throwing it at a tailshaft place tomorrow to have them replace the offending joint.

I asked the guy about putting something beefier in....he said yes it's possible but we are talking about basically constructing a tailshaft from scratch and it would be very big dollars so the conversation ended there. Not for me just at this point.

Got the tailshaft back today, 3 uni joints replaced.
I just chucked it in and went for a test drive....bugger me! It drives better than it ever has before. No vibrations, no grinding noises.
Very happy!!

Total cost was $330inc GST (including an actual tax invoice woohoo!).
Replaced two pre-existing non-subaru uni joints.
Replaced one Subaru uni joint.
Complete balance.
Aparently the cost to replace a Subaru "non replacable" joint is about $100.
Driveshaft Balancing in Collingwood St Osborne Park.
Owner is Rex
I dealt with his son Brendon.
