carbys can be complicated just try and lay all the parts outs so you remember were they go.....if ya not to sure id recommend a mechanic to do the job...ive seen alot of guys that dont no what there doing stuff carbys up hey...as for settings id just set it up on subaru specs mate....
2011 Forester X
I would get a weber carb for it.... but if u must rebuild the stock one then watch out for the little ball bearings and small springs that are sometimes in them.

EJ conversion wiring harness cut downs available. Please PM or email ([email protected]) for details.
I have just fitted a weber to my ute, so we could come to some kind of arrange for my old hitachi and mainfold? Total agree with Subarino the weber is the go, however with your upgrade coming i wouldn't bother.

youl be right mate there apeice of piss really...just lay parts out in an order so you can remember were there go and dont rush and youl be right ive done heaps of em and i havnt stuff one yet...make sure all the surfaces are clean and not warped as well if they are you can clean em up with some 600wet and dry on a peice of glass that way it will be nice and even...the carb kit should come with a diagram too..so will help ya out..
2011 Forester X
I have re-kitted both Hitachi and Weber, both are easy enough to rebuild. They come with an exploded diagram supplied in the kits. A can of carby cleaner comes in handy here too.

Your best bet would be across the dally from work, go down bayswater onto dally service road and second right i think, on the left hand side as you enter the street, i think it might be the carbie centre, i can't remember the name for the life of me. I don't think i could be any more vague if i tried.... The company only does carbies basically.
